Actions Taken
Emmanuel Ojo was arraigned under an eight count charge brought against him in case number MA/430C/2015 accusing him of publishing a false news with intent to malign, cause hatred against the wife of the Governor which was punishable under section 516 of criminal code cap 24 vol. 2 Laws of Ogun State of Nigeria, 2006. Presiding over his case, Chief Magistrate Anthony Araba granted him bail in the sum of One Million and two sureties in like sum. Emmanuel Ojo sued the Ogun State Police Command and the Chief Security Officer to the Ogun State Governor, Katib Biliamin for his arrest and detention demanding N150 million as damages.
