Fejiro Oliver was released on March 24, 2017 after being unlawfully arrested and detained at the Nigeria Police Criminal Investigation Department, Alagbon, Ikoyi.
Journalist and Activist, Mr. Ortega Oghenedoro popularly known as Fejiro Oliver was arrested on 16th March 2017 in policemen in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state and flown to Lagos on 17th March, 2017. He was arrested on allegations of ”threat to life” and ‘defamation of character”. He was arrested in proxy for a whistleblower who uncovered and exposed fraudulent activities allegedly perpetuated in a Sterling bank by top officials of the bank and published in part some of the fraudulent activities on his online medium, Secret Reporters.
