On July 24, 2023, while Ibrahima Diallo , coordinator of Tournons La Page Guinée (TLP-Guinée) and head of operations for the National Front for the Defense of the Constitution (FNDC), was due to travel to France to undergo a health check and participate in the Summer University of Social and Solidarity Movements (UEMSS), he was blocked at the airport by the Guinean border police, without the latter presenting him with any document prohibiting him from leaving the country.
Ibrahima Diallo , released on May 10, 2023 after more than nine months of arbitrary imprisonment without trial, was finally acquitted on June 13, 2023, without any judicial decision prohibiting him from leaving the country being taken against him.
On June 1, 2023, while traveling to the international forum on civic space organized by Tournons La Page Niger in Niamey, he had already been prevented from traveling by the Guinean border police.
Tournons La Page, as well as FIDH and OMCT, within the framework of the Observatory for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders, denounce this new act, which once again illustrates the restriction of civic space in Guinea, and demand an end to the judicial and police harassment against Ibrahima Diallo and all human rights defenders in the country.
