Kaoural Renouveau Association, a Vocal Critic of the Transitional Regime, Dissolved

During the Council of Ministers of February 28, 2024, an unprecedented decision was taken: the dissolution of the Kaoural Renouveau association. This organization, chaired by an individual whose identity has not been revealed, is accused of making defamatory and subversive remarks aimed at discrediting the transitional authorities in place.

The president of the association allegedly orchestrated a smear campaign against the transition, thus causing public disorder. In addition, he allegedly made statutory changes without informing the competent authorities, which constitutes a violation of established rules.

Faced with these reprehensible actions, the Council of Ministers has taken the radical decision to dissolve the Kaoural Renouveau association, in order to put an end to its activities which are harmful to stability and social cohesion. This exceptional measure also aims to remind that any act aimed at disrupting public order and destabilizing existing institutions will not be tolerated.
