An international humanitarian agency working in North-East, Nigeria has been shut down after the country's top army hierarchy accused it of "aiding and abetting" terrorists in the country's war-torn northeast region.
Declaring the NGO ''persona non grata'', the army claimed the aid agency gave food and drugs to Boko Haram fighters despite several warnings from the security institution not to do so.
However, a statement from the NGO rejected the army's accusations. It stated that the NGO focused on delivering ''neutral, impartial and independent'' aid to vulnerable groups, especially women and children.
