The Democratic Youth Organization of Burkina Faso (ODJ) has strongly denounced what it calls “selective and arbitrary requisitions” targeting its members and other opposition figures. The organization sees these actions as a deliberate maneuver to silence dissenting voices and suppress critical perspectives on governance and human rights.
According to ODJ, these requisitions particularly affect the organizers of the October 31 meeting, including its president, Gabin Korbéogo. The organization warns that such measures reflect a broader pattern of political repression, aiming to intimidate activists and restrict democratic freedoms.
ODJ has called for an immediate halt to these targeted actions and urges national and international actors to intervene in defense of civil liberties in Burkina Faso.
