Togo: 56 people arrested during the June 5 and 6 protests have been released
In Togo, 56 people have been released, according to a statement from the public prosecutor read on state television. They were arrested during the anti-government protests held in Lomé on June 5 and 6, 2025, the birthday of Prime Minister Faure Gnassingbé. Others remain in custody and are due to appear before the prosecutor on June 10.
