The Togolese government has once again banned an opposition meeting, this time citing " security " reasons against a rally planned for Saturday in Lomé, according to a statement from the Minister of Security, General Yark Damehame. The Dynamique Monseigneur Kpodzro (DMK) - which brings together seven opposition political parties and six civil society organizations - called for this meeting to denounce in particular the high cost of living, bad governance and impunity.
The government has banned the meeting of the Dynamique Monseigneur Kpodzro , scheduled for June 25 against all expectations. The Dynamique Monseigneur Kpodzro supported the candidacy of Gabriel Agbéyomé Kodjo and which continues to contest the results of the presidential elections of February 2020, draws the consequences of this ban on gathering and does not intend to give up.
