NGOs According to circular no. 0079, the actors of decentralized power and of development planning and territorial development are instructed to ensure the alignment of the actions of NGOs with the development priorities defined by the government.
Indeed, to improve the regulatory framework for operation and cooperation with NGOs, the government defined new conditions for cooperation with them in January 2022.
This new framework aims to align the actions of NGOs with the government's development priorities with a view to having a real impact on the population's experience.
"Any activity to be undertaken by an NGO must be brought to the attention of the Prefects, Mayors and Regional Directors of Development Planning and Territorial Development, failing which, it must be suspended," recall Payadowa Boukpessi, Minister of Territorial Administration and Sandra Ablamba Ahoéfavi Johnson, Minister and Secretary General of the Presidency in a circular note.
