Description

Arrested by the Sr, the coordinator of the mafia "Kacc-Kacci" was edified on his fate this Monday, August 8, 2022 after a return from the prosecution last Friday.

Outhmane Diagne has just been placed under a warrant by the judge of the second cabinet. He is targeted for "spreading false news, erasing and modifying log data". This is confirmed by his lawyer Me Bamba Cissé.

Questioned on the file, one of his lawyers, Me Bamba Cissé, provided details. "As surprising as it may seem, Outhmane Diagne was arrested just for having shared on his Facebook page front pages of satirical newspapers with 3 emoji of smiles in the header. Dozens of people also shared this without being worried once. He is thus accused of spreading I don't know what false news. Better still, no newspaper has filed a complaint against him. The Observer has not filed a complaint, it is the prosecutor who has seized himself. C is just amazing! ” he said.

Despite the arrest of Papito Kara and Diagne, the counterfeiters continue their propaganda enterprise by falsifying the headlines of the daily newspapers.

For Rsf, "the hijacking of the front pages of newspapers on social networks constitutes a disinformation technique aimed at a large audience. A process that risks altering democratic debate and harming the media that are victims of it, by damaging their reputation. , even endangering their journalists."

"We ask the authorities to take the necessary measures to put an end to these practices that are harmful to the integrity of information and which are a severe blow to the credibility of the newspapers which are victims of them".
