As announced earlier in the day, Lamignou Darou, Oustaz Thiep and Ndiaye Touba, all activists of Pastef, were arrested by members of the Special Cybersecurity Division (DSC) at the premises of Feeñal Digital.
According to Maitre Abdoul Tall, the leader of Pastef called him while he was participating in a program on 2A TV in order to inquire about their situation.
“Ousmane Sonko is very close to his activists and supports them in all circumstances. He instructed me to take all necessary steps to help them,” said Mr. Tall.
The lawyer indicated that he had already informed his colleague, Maitre Abdinar Ndiaye, who will visit the people arrested to provide them with legal assistance.
"Lawyers are organizing to find out the real reasons for their arrest. In the name of freedom of expression and respecting the presumption of innocence, we want to believe that, for the moment, this is just a simple questioning," the MP and lawyer stated.
