Description

''The Presidential Villa, on Tuesday, 24 March, 2020 stopped some media houses from covering the activities of the Presidency, The Gazelle News.com reports.

A statement from the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, stated that the action was taken because of the Coronavirus which limits the number of people at a gathering.

Barred from covering the Presidency activities are: Africa Independent Television (AIT), Arise TV, Silverbird Television (STV), Ben TV and some radio stations.

Also barred were reporters from PUNCH, Thisday, Tribune, The Guardian, Vanguard, Daily Trust and other major newspapers.''
