On August 20, 2016, a Blogger, Musa Babale Azare was arrested in Abuja for criticizing Bauchi State Governor, Muhammad Abdullahi Abubakar.

He was arrested for cyberstalking on the orders of the Bauchi State Governor. Musa Azare is the 6th journalist/blogger to be arrested under the Cyber Security Law 2015.

His release was later ordered for by the Governor.
