Dr Arouna Louré is Free, after Three Months of Requisition
Initially requisitioned for one month, from September 11 to October 11, Dr. Arouna Louré, after this period, had not given any sign of life after the end of this first requisition, thus creating a certain amount of concern among his relatives.
He was initially due to go to Koumbri in the North region where 53 people – 17 soldiers and 36 Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) – were killed on Monday, September 4. A requisition issued by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Colonel Moussa Diallo. Arouna Louré was requisitioned, according to the notification, "in order to provide his assistance in serving within the unit deployed in Koumbri for the benefit of the 12th Infantry Commando Regiment (12eRIC) as part of its missions and operations to secure the national territory." The following day, September 8, he received a second requisition. If the place where the doctor was to go has changed from Ouahigouya to Koumbri, the period, September 11 to October 11, has not changed.
The anesthesiologist, against all expectations, was still in Ouagadougou after September 11. Omega revealed the information exclusively. And finally on September 13, armed soldiers took Dr. Arouna Louré to the Schiphra hospital in Ouagadougou, several sources close to the doctor confirmed to Omega, specifying that he was arrested by force.
On October 11, family and friends were waiting for the doctor. But no news. Some even waited until October 13 – which marked exactly one month to the day of his embarkation – hoping to find him. But again, nothing.
Then, some sources will announce the extension of the doctor's requisition by two months and then by three months. With his release on December 11, it will be three months since he was requisitioned and was at the front.
