Visual Artist, Jelili Atiku was detained over his art performance depicting ‘executive terrorism’ in Nigeria. Atiku was allegedly arrested on the traditional ruler of Ejigbo community, Oba Morufu Adekunle Adisa Ojoola, the Oojon of Ejigbo/Ijan kingdom in Lagos State, who was said to be displeased with Atiku’s performance in ‘his domain’ last Thursday. Atiku was charged with on criminal charges of “constituting public disturbance, and inciting the public with his performance of January 14, 2016.”
