Description

Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s nomination of Aliyu Abubakar as Commissioner for Agriculture has been rejected by the Kaduna State House of Assembly.  Abubakar’s rejection reportedly stemmed from his past criticism of Governor El-Rufai’s education policies in the state on Facebook.

The Speaker, Aminu Shagali, was quoted to have said: “You criticized the same administration that is about to employ you now in one of your posts on Facebook. You said there’s nothing good about the education policy and attacked the governor…… do you think it is honorable to accept this nomination?”
