LAGOS – At Poling Unit 048 Ijaiye, Ojokoro, Lagos, some overzealous INEC officials stopped journalists from covering the exercise, even as voting commenced at the PU.
An officials who failed to give his name approached our correspondent and insisted that they were instructed not to allow media coverage, especially those with camera.
Efforts to make him understand that the media are partners for the free and fair election fell on deaf ear as he confined that AIT and others had been turned back from taking videos or photographs of the exercise.
