Two reporters, Dan Opeli and Yves Kuyo, of Le Quotedien, an opposition newspaper, were arrested “on a charge of “divulging false news”, despite the 2004 press law that states that journalists cannot be detained for their work by judicial authorities, but can only be punished by the National Press Council.
