Niger said Friday that it had suspended broadcasting by a major private TV channel and one of its journalists a day after it aired a report on the "performance" of the country's military-led authorities.
Niger's junta leaders, in power since a coup in July 2023, have already blocked broadcasts of international media including the BBC, France 24 and France's RFI.
"The journalist card of Seyni Amadou from Canal 3 TV has been suspended for three months," the culture ministry said, while Canal 3 itself was suspended for one month.
