NSCDC Operatives Injure Journalists

Security Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) shot at journalists after a failed attempt by officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps to demand bribe from a road user, Mr Pascal Ochara who had a medical emergency that involved his wife. The Journalists – Nnamdi Okonya of Silverbirds TV, Tope Kuteyi of Channels TV and Obioma Oburuoga of AIT – who tried mediating in the dispute were later served their own share as the security operatives demanded their identity cards and started beating them after the journalists attempted a video recording of the bribe extortion scene.
