    Sampson Unamkpa, a reporter with the Nation Newspaper was allegedly assaulted by police officers from Olosan Police Station in Mushin, Lagos while performing his reporting duties. He was assaulted and arrested for attempting to take a photograph of a police officer assaulting a motorist. Unamkpa was taken to the police station, where the Divisional Police Officer threatened to charge him for the attempt to take the photos of officers. He was later released on the orders of the DPO.
