    Police Raid Premium Times Head Office, Arrests Publisher, Journalist

    Police officers raided the office of Premium Times at Abuja, arresting the Publisher, Dapo Olorunyomi alongside the Judiciary correspondent, Evelyn Okakwu. The arrest was at the behest of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Tukur Buratia who filed a complaint alleging defamation of his character by the media house. The arrested journalists were later released following intense pressure from civil and human rights groups, online voices and concerned citizens.
