Wilson Chibuzor Lucky, a member of the Take-It-Back Movement (TIB) and Deputy Campaign Coordinator of the SoworeNow campaign in Rivers State, has raised the alarm over an alleged attempt by the police to arrest him illegally.
He noted that the threat of arrest came after he intervened in the detention and alleged assault of teenagers by members of the ONELGA Security Planning and Advisory Committee (OSPAC) in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state.
Lucky told Sahara Reporters on Friday, October 9 that operatives believed to be from the State Criminal Investigation Department (State CID) visited his residence while he was in Lagos for a podcast programme on Thursday, October 8.
According to him, the operatives told his neighbour that they were from the State CID and had come to arrest him but refused to disclose the reason for the planned arrest or leave any contact details.
Lucky said he is scheduled to return to Port Harcourt on Saturday, October 10, but fears that he could be arrested upon his return because of his involvement in challenging what he described as the unlawful detention and assault of teenage boys in his neighbourhood.
