Customs Seize Autobiographical Books of Oumar Sylla (aka Foniké Menguè)

According to the publisher Les Plumes Inspirées, the book "Debout pour la patrie" is an autobiography that Foniké Menguè began writing during his stay in prison two years ago , and in which the activist of the National Front for the Defense of the Constitution (FNDC) recounts his militant journey and shares his ideals. The book is printed in Dakar, Senegal. A week ago, on June 29, it was transported by road to Conakry.

But according to the General Directorate of Customs, contacted by RFI, the goods were seized at the border post of the Koundara prefecture, on the grounds that they violated article 56 a and b of the Customs Code. This stipulates that "  goods whose importation is prohibited for reasons of public order and public security are prohibited  ."
