During the police raid on King FM, authorities arrested Gibbi Jallow, a journalist at the station, along with two technicians, Ebrima Jallow and Madiou Jallow. Although they share a surname, they are not related.
All three were held at a police station until January 28. Gibbi Jallow stated that he was charged with inciting violence and was released on the condition that he provide documents about land he owns. The two technicians were released without charge, according to King FM reporter Kebba Kamara, who spoke to CPJ.
