    Description

A bill to regulate the use of Social Media, as well as curb fake news on the internet, has passed second reading at the Senate.

The bill, ‘Protection from Internet Falsehood and Manipulations Bill, 2019,’  is sponsored by Mohammed Musa.

This comes a few days after a similar anti-social media bill also known as the hate speech bill was introduced in the Senate and has continued to spark outrage across Nigeria.
